A law firm seeks a Real Estate Attorney for its Columbia, South Carolina office. The successful candidate will manage real estate closings and provide legal support to clients in real estate and estate planning. Duties

  • Lead all aspects of real estate closings, including contract review, due diligence, and document preparation.
  • Advise clients throughout transactions and communicate with buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to title, payoff, and lender requirements.
  • Stay current on South Carolina real estate laws and local practices.
  • Support estate planning or probate matters as needed.
  • Maintain accurate files and ensure timely closings.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license in South Carolina (in good standing).
  • 1-3+ years of experience in real estate transactions preferred; estate planning exposure a plus.
  • Exceptional client service and professional communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license in South Carolina (in good standing).
