Associate Attorney needed for Columbia office

Job Overview: A dynamic and growing law firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team. The Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in defending clients in civil litigation and prosecuting insurance subrogation cases. Location:

• Columbia, MO 

Duties:

• Defend clients in civil litigation cases and prosecute insurance subrogation cases
• Take depositions, prepare and argue motions, and conduct trials and appeals
• Evaluate evidence and develop litigation strategies in collaboration with partner attorneys
• Represent clients in court and manage all aspects of civil cases
• Draft research articles for client newsletters and deliver presentations to clients
• Participate in business development and client-oriented activities
• Lead and mentor support staff and junior attorneys as part of a future leadership role

Requirements:

• Prior experience in civil litigation, including trials and depositions
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently
• Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships
• Excellent research and writing abilities
• Desire to lead and manage a team in the future

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri
• Additional experience in Illinois law is a plus
