A law firm seeks an International and Federal Tax Associate/Senior Associate with 4-5 years of experience to join its Tax practice group in Washington, D.C. The role involves advising multinational clients on tax considerations for domestic and cross-border transactions, with a focus on international structuring and large-scale management changes.

Duties

  • Advise on international structuring and tax considerations for cross-border transactions.
  • Negotiate and document tax-related aspects of transactions.
  • Interact extensively with clients, including Fortune 100 companies.
  • Plan transactions to achieve business objectives in a tax-efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Four to five years of law firm or government experience.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of tax matters and international tax policy.
  • Experience in planning acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and restructurings.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong academic records and communication abilities.
  • Availability to work in the office at least three days per week.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
