Job Overview

A law firm seeks a U.S. Associate specializing in tax for their Washington, D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have experience in taxation related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and private equity funds and structures. Additional experience with capital markets and international transactions is preferred.

Duties

  • Advise on taxation of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Provide guidance on private equity funds and structures.
  • Engage in capital markets and international transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver comprehensive tax solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience, ideally with a Big 4 firm.
  • Self-starter with strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Tax LL.M preferred.

Certifications

  • Admission to and in good standing with the Washington D.C. Bar.

Skills

  • Proficiency in tax law related to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience with private equity and capital markets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
