Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Junior Construction Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of law firm experience, primarily in the construction sector. The ideal candidate will possess excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and a Virginia Bar license. Experience in complex litigation, federal criminal law, or investigations, and prior service as a federal judicial clerk, is advantageous.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in construction litigation matters, including contract disputes, defects, delays, and payment issues.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and preparing witnesses.
  • Participate in hearings, trials, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Provide legal analysis and counsel to clients on construction law issues.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of law firm experience practicing primarily in construction.
  • Experience with complex litigation, federal criminal law, or investigations is a plus.
  • Excellent academic credentials, including a J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Virginia Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
