Associate Attorney with 25 years of experience

A law firm seeks an associate attorney with 2–5 years of experience to join its Labor & Employment and Public Law Practice Groups. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on various matters involving employment law, labor relations, and municipal legal issues. Duties

• Provide legal advice and representation to employers and governmental entities on labor, employment, and municipal law matters.
• Appear before administrative agencies and courts to advocate for clients in employment and labor disputes.
• Draft and negotiate collective bargaining agreements and represent clients in labor arbitrations.
• Handle matters involving Open Meeting laws and Public Record compliance.
• Develop and revise personnel policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and best practices.
• Conduct workplace investigations related to employment disputes or policy violations.
• Collaborate with clients to deliver tailored, innovative legal strategies and solutions.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience practicing law with a focus on labor, employment, or municipal matters.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills to provide high-quality legal counsel.
• Effective communication skills to engage with clients and other stakeholders.
• Experience with administrative proceedings, court appearances, and collective bargaining negotiations.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the State Bar (jurisdiction of the role) or ability to obtain membership promptly.
