Job Overview:
A full-service law firm based in North Miami Beach is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to handle a broad range of immigration matters, with a particular focus on removal defense and family-based petitions. This role involves court appearances, drafting motions and appeals, and providing direct client consultation and support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives under pressure, and is committed to delivering excellent client service in a fast-paced environment.

Location:

  • North Miami Beach, FL

Duties:

  • Represent clients in immigration court proceedings

  • Prepare and argue motions, including motions to reopen

  • Handle BIA (Board of Immigration Appeals) appeals

  • Draft and submit family-based immigration petitions

  • Attend hearings and assist lead attorney in case presentation

  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding immigration status and case progress

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files

  • Communicate effectively with clients, including consultations and case updates

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing immigration law

  • Proficiency in handling removal defense, family-based petitions, motions to reopen, and BIA appeals

  • Strong oral advocacy skills for immigration court appearances

  • Ability to handle a fast-paced caseload and meet deadlines

  • Must be based in or able to relocate to the Miami-Dade/Broward area

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted and in good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing

  • Client consultation and interpersonal communication

  • Case management and organizational abilities

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Spanish or other language proficiency is a plus
