Duties

  • Handle all aspects of workers’ compensation cases, including case evaluation, litigation, and settlement

  • Assess the merits of new claims and determine appropriate legal strategies

  • Advise and communicate regularly with clients regarding medical treatment, case progression, and legal rights

  • Draft legal documents and pleadings as needed for claim administration and litigation

  • Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and mediations

  • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers

  • Participate in bar events, firm networking, and business development efforts

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in workers’ compensation law (plaintiff or defense)

  • Proven ability to manage a caseload independently

  • Strong negotiation and client communication skills

  • Ability to develop new business through networking and professional engagement

  • Firm understanding of Florida Workers’ Compensation Law

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member of the Florida Bar (required)
