Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Trusts & Estates Associate with 2-4 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate to join their Lakewood Ranch, FL office. The role involves significant client interaction and requires the ability to work independently with exceptional communication, writing, research, and organizational skills.

Duties

  • Administer trusts and estates from inception to completion.
  • Review and draft trust and probate administration documents.
  • Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Conduct legal research on complex probate and estate planning issues.
  • Build relationships with clients through networking and business development.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Florida.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Advanced research and writing skills with proficiency in legal research tools.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Certifications

  • Bar license in Florida (other jurisdictions are a plus).
