Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Health Care and Life Sciences Associate Attorney in Bloomfield Hills, MI. This position is ideal for an attorney with 1-4 years of experience in health care law, eager to grow in the field and collaborate with senior attorneys in a supportive environment.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, focusing on Clinical Trial Agreements, Data Use Agreements, Material Transfer Agreements, and Business Associate Agreements.
  • Draft acquisition agreements and related corporate documents.
  • Advise clients on compliance with FDA regulations, the Common Rule, ICH-GCP guidelines, HIPAA, and data privacy and security requirements.
  • Assist with policy development and template creation for clinical research programs.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex regulatory, transactional, and contractual matters.
  • Provide general corporate support, including entity formation, capitalizations, governance, and shareholder agreements.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Michigan bar.
  • 1-4 years of experience in health care law, preferably at a law firm or in-house with a health care or life sciences organization.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating CTAs, NDAs, BAAs, and DUAs, or a strong interest in building a practice in this area.
  • Familiarity with clinical research compliance frameworks such as FDA, Common Rule, HIPAA, and ICH-GCP.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills with a client-service mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach with clients and colleagues.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
