Job Overview: A law firm specializing in economic development law seeks a skilled mid-to-Senior-Level Associate Attorney to join its team in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience handling complex legal matters related to economic development and regulatory compliance.

Duties:

  • Provide clients with legal counsel and strategic advice on economic development initiatives, including financing, incentives, zoning, and land use.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and transactional documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client consultations.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and other legal proceedings as required.
  • Collaborate with partners, clients, and governmental agencies to facilitate project approvals and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar; additional admissions in neighboring states preferred.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in economic development law, real estate law, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse caseload and delivering favorable client outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations impacting economic development projects.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Economic Development Law or Real Estate Law (e.g., from the American Bar Association or a similar organization).

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software (Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.).
