Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Intellectual Property team in Chicago, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team on diverse intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark issues. The position supports career development and client engagement.

Duties

• Engage in intellectual property prosecution and litigation.
• Draft patents and conduct thorough research.
• Write briefs and manage case documentation.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in intellectual property law.
• Experience with patent drafting and litigation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Admitted to practice in Illinois and before the USPTO, or in the process of obtaining admission.

Education

• JD degree or equivalent with strong academic credentials.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Certifications

• Admitted as a patent attorney before the USPTO.
