Duties:

• Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, and discovery documents

• Conduct legal research and analysis on family law issues

• Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings

• Prepare witnesses and support trial strategies

• Engage in direct client communication and case management

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case planning and execution

• Attend hearings and assist in trial preparation

• Contribute to the development of legal arguments and negotiation tactics

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of legal experience (judicial clerkships will be considered)

• Solid understanding of family law principles and court procedures

• Admission to the Maryland Bar

• Eligibility or membership in the D.C. Bar is strongly preferred

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving legal environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in Maryland

• D.C. Bar membership or the ability to gain admission is advantageous
