Location:

  • Chicago, IL

Duties:

  • Client intake and case evaluation.

  • Draft, negotiate, and settle cases pre-litigation.

  • Draft complaints and discovery documents.

  • Take and defend depositions.

  • Work with experts and doctors to build case strategies.

  • Represent clients in jury trials.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience in plaintiff's personal injury.

  • Experience drafting and arguing motions.

  • Experience taking depositions.

  • Jury trial experience is preferred but not required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.

  • Comfortable using case management software, specifically Smart Advocate.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Detail-oriented, reliable, hardworking, and compassionate.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice in Illinois.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.

  • Proficient in case management software and legal research tools.

  • Excellent negotiation and settlement skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with clients, experts, and other attorneys.
