Job Title: Foreclosure Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing complex foreclosure and replevin processes, providing strategic legal counsel, and handling litigation matters. This position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong organizational and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Oversee all stages of the non-judicial foreclosure process from referral to sale
  • Manage routine and non-routine litigation related to replevin cases
  • Assist with pre-litigation matters and title clearing for real property
  • Provide case analysis and legal strategy advice to clients
  • Draft court pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences, and make court appearances
  • Handle additional duties as assigned by the firm

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in foreclosure, creditors' rights, real estate, or mortgage servicing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Capable of handling large caseloads efficiently
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of foreclosure and replevin processes and consumer protection laws (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Practices Act)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar
  • Must maintain required continuing legal education (CLE)

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Proficient in case management and prioritization
  • Skilled in drafting legal documents and pleadings
  • Strong knowledge of evidence rules and trial preparation
  • Familiarity with consumer protection statutes (preferred)
