Associate Criminal and Civil Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an Associate Criminal and Civil Litigation Attorney in Bismarck, ND, to support a hybrid practice model combining remote and in-office work. The successful candidate will handle a personal caseload from day one and collaborate with a small team to deliver high-quality courtroom representation and legal services.

Duties

• Manage and litigate criminal and civil matters across state and federal courts.

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and trial briefs.

• Develop case strategies, prepare evidence, and present at hearings and trials.

• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

• Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements

• Admission to the North Dakota bar in good standing.

• Minimum of 1–3 years of litigation experience or equivalent solo practice.

• Proven ability to handle an independent caseload and meet deadlines.

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.

• Excellent judgment, organization, and client-service orientation.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
