Associate - Copyright (Transactional)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified associate with a minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation to join the transactional side of their practice in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in copyright, IP licensing, tech transactions, or entertainment deals.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts related to copyright and IP licensing.
• Provide strategic counseling on copyright matters to a diverse client base.
• Assist in developing compliance strategies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
• Engage in litigation support for infringement cases and rate-setting matters.
• Negotiate content licenses and structure business models for clients.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
• Familiarity with music, entertainment, and/or content industries preferred.
• Experience in copyright, IP licensing, tech transactions, or entertainment deals.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
