Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Associate in Charlotte, NC. This role offers the chance to engage with sophisticated clients on complex real estate transactions, focusing on data center and energy-related projects. Candidates with experience in data center development and financing are preferred.

Duties

  • Draft purchase and sale agreements, especially those related to power infrastructure contingencies.
  • Analyze development issues including power, water, fiberoptic infrastructure, zoning, entitlements, permits, and land use.
  • Close real estate transactions efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with a team while also working independently.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in real estate.
  • Experience with data center and energy projects preferred.
  • Am Law 100 firm experience required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in the jurisdiction of resident office location.

Skills

  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
