Job Overview

A law firm seeks a tax associate to join its Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Team in Torrance, CA. This position offers a unique opportunity for a lateral associate to be part of an expanding team. The role involves working with for-profit and nonprofit developers on affordable multifamily housing projects across the U.S.

Duties

• Represent clients in the development, acquisition, construction, and sale of affordable housing.
• Utilize federal, state, and local affordable housing programs.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys and policy advisors.

Requirements

• Experience in partnership tax and federal income tax credits.
• Member in good standing of any state bar.

Education

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting.
• LLM in Taxation (preferred).

Certifications

• Bar membership in good standing.

Skills

• Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
