Workers Compensation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Workers Compensation Attorney in Chicago, IL. The attorney will provide legal representation and counsel to companies, municipalities, and local governments in defending workers' compensation and occupational disease claims.

Duties

• Organize and maintain case files from claim inception through appeals.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on Workers' Compensation and Occupational Diseases Acts.
• Draft necessary documents and prepare for and attend hearings before the IWCC and Courts.
• Manage timely communication with clients.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in workers compensation or defense.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
