A law firm seeks a Pre-Litigation Attorney specializing in Personal Injury to join their team in Richmond, VA. The role involves representing clients to ensure justice and compensation for their injuries, managing cases from start to settlement with the support of a skilled team.

Duties

• Handle personal injury case files from start to finish.
• Evaluate potential claims and provide legal advice to clients.
• Draft and review legal documents, including demand letters and medical records.
• Meet all pre-litigation filing deadlines.
• Research case law and oversee evidence collection.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and insurance adjusters.
• Negotiate agreements and settle on clients' behalf.
• Review liens and expenses before settlement disbursement.
• Represent clients at hearings and mediations.
• Update case files in the management system.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in personal injury or civil litigation.
• Membership in the Virginia State Bar Association.
• Virginia state license to practice law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant data technology software.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening.

Education

• Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Valid Virginia Bar license.
