Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Tax Associate in Rogers, AR. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced attorneys, primarily within the Business Practice Group, to provide legal counsel and representation in business transactions, trust and estate planning, and tax matters. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using various resources.
  • Prepare legal documents outlining research findings and arguments.
  • Assist in tax planning, structuring, and compliance for various entities.
  • Draft and review business transactional documents.
  • Provide due diligence and tax support for business transactions.
  • Draft estate planning documents and correspond with clients.
  • Ensure legal documents comply with laws and client interests.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to refine documents and strategies.
  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, maintaining communication.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve collective goals.
  • Participate in firm meetings and professional development.
  • Stay informed about relevant legal changes and trends.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to a state bar required; commitment to obtain admission in Arkansas.
  • LLM in Taxation preferred, but relevant experience considered.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for client and colleague rapport.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
