Duties

  • Manage your own docket with support from paralegals and clerks.
  • Collaborate with partners on strategy, motions, and trial preparation.
  • Draft and argue dispositive motions, complex pleadings, and Daubert challenges.
  • Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and prepare privilege logs.
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts, argue motions, assist at trial, and negotiate resolutions.
  • Leverage AI tools, Westlaw, and O'Connor's to streamline litigation workflows.
  • Contribute to firm development through marketing, CLE, and outreach.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
  • 1-4 years of civil litigation experience, including written discovery.
  • Experience taking or defending at least two depositions.
  • Familiarity with Texas civil procedure and courtroom practice.
  • Tech proficiency (Casepeer, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat) and interest in AI.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar.
