Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Associate with 2-6 years of experience for its Denver, Colorado office. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic intellectual property team, leveraging their expertise to support clients in expanding and protecting their intellectual property portfolios.

Duties

• Collaborate with clients to develop and protect intellectual property portfolios.
• Interface with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements related to intellectual property.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience in patent law.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software, or Computer Science.
• Admission to the USPTO or eligibility to take the Patent Bar.
• Strong writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) required.

Certifications

• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Skills

• Experience with consumer electronics, software, web-based services, full-stack development, generative AI, machine learning, data structures, data storage, and databases preferred.
• Excellent academic performance.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
