Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Clearance and Prosecution Associate in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in trademark clearance, counseling, and prosecution, both domestically and internationally.

Duties

• Review full search reports and prepare formal assessments on trademark availability for use and registration.
• Prepare preliminary trademark assessments.
• Oversee paralegals in preparing applications and federal trademark filings, including creating acceptable identification of goods and services.
• Handle and assist in due diligence for acquisitions and divestitures.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in US and foreign trademark clearance and prosecution.
• Excellent communication, writing, research, and organizational skills.
• Copyright prosecution experience is a plus.
• Admission to the NY, CA, or FL Bar is required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in NY, CA, or FL.
