Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with two to five years of experience to join its practice group in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for building a practice and working creatively with clients to find solutions.

Duties

  • Represent clients in employment litigation, including court appearances and depositions.
  • Draft summary judgment motions, dispositive briefings, and motions to compel arbitration.
  • Prepare discovery requests and responses, and oppositions to motions for class certification.
  • Draft long-form settlement agreements in wage and hour class/collective actions.
  • Advise clients on employment law compliance, including policies, handbooks, and employee performance.
  • Conduct labor due diligence on M&A deals.

Requirements

  • Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing skills.
  • Experience with single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits.
  • Federal clerkship experience preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in California.
