Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney in Las Vegas, NV. This full-time position offers a remote work model, with occasional onsite work required. The role involves managing civil litigation defense efforts, including drafting motions, attending court trials, and providing legal counsel.

Duties

  • Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and discovery.
  • Represent clients in trials, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations.
  • Update clients and/or their insurers.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients.
  • Manage day-to-day litigation tasks.
  • Meet and maintain annual firm billable requirements monthly.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in law and civil litigation procedures.
  • Proven track record of drafting and arguing motions.
  • Ability to effectively navigate the court system.
  • Experience in trial preparation and courtroom representation.
  • Skilled in conducting depositions and witness examinations.
  • Superior written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Active member of the Nevada State Bar.
  • Prior experience in construction or casualty claims is a plus.

 

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

 

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Nevada State Bar.
