A prominent law firm located in Los Angeles, CA is actively seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with 3 to 4 years of litigation experience to engage in a diverse range of cases, including business, real estate, construction, and labor and employment. Duties:

  • Manage and organize complex litigation files across various practice areas, including business, real estate, construction, and labor and employment.
  • Conduct thorough document collection, review, and analysis.
  • Respond to discovery requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of necessary materials.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other related legal documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and ensure seamless case progression.
  • Prepare and participate in legal research, motions practice, and hearings.
  • Maintain efficient case organization and manage deadlines effectively.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of relevant litigation experience.
  • Strong document management skills, including proficiency with platforms such as Relativity and Opus2.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents and responding to discovery.
  • Exceptional research and writing abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar is required.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with litigation-related technology and document management systems.

The Los Angeles office of this vigorous firm specializes in real estate law, environmental law, and civil litigation. The firm boasts an extremely dynamic group of attorneys; the firms partnership is both young (most are in their 30s and 40s) and talented. Associates are treated very well, and people are generally quite happy working here. Retention is incredibly high; in fact, approximately two-thirds of the associates who joined the firm in the last five years are still at the firm. Despite the firms size, salaries are only slightly below market.
