Senior Estate & Business Transactions Associate

A law firm seeks a seasoned attorney to join its Bloomfield Hills, MI, office, providing sophisticated estate planning and corporate transactional counsel to a diverse clientele.

Duties

• Advise clients on comprehensive estate planning strategies, including wills, trusts, and succession frameworks

• Structure and negotiate business deals, from entity formation to mergers and acquisitions

• Handle real estate conveyances, financing arrangements, and landlord–tenant agreements

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring continuity of service

• Develop new business through networking and referral sources, expanding the firm’s market presence

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of private‐practice experience focused on estate planning and business or real estate transactions

• Demonstrated ability to manage a full transactional docket independently

• Strong interpersonal aptitude for client development and service retention

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the Michigan Bar

• LL.M. in Taxation and/or active CPA license strongly preferred
