Job Overview

A law firm seeks a full-time Compliance Attorney in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul area. The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biologic, or diagnostic industry, either in-house or in a law firm serving FDA-regulated clients. The role requires strong risk-assessment skills and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly.

Duties

  • Train leadership and teams on U.S. healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Review promotional and scientific materials for FDA compliance.
  • Advise on compliant HCP interactions and consulting arrangements.
  • Evaluate programs for compliance with FDA and other regulations.
  • Design and implement compliance programs and policies.
  • Conduct compliance audits and internal investigations.
  • Support due diligence and risk assessments for transactions.
  • Manage responses to regulatory inquiries and competitor complaints.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in FDA-regulated industries.
  • Experience with U.S. healthcare compliance laws and regulations.
  • Strong risk assessment and issue-spotting skills.
  • Ability to advise clients and communicate complex concepts.
  • Experience drafting compliance policies and training.
  • Ability to lead projects and manage multiple priorities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (or equivalent) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in a U.S. state.

Skills

  • Strong grasp of ethics laws and professional conduct.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and AI tools.
  • Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations.
