Job Overview

A law firm seeks a talented mid-level or senior associate to join its Real Estate practice in St. Louis. This role offers the opportunity to engage in sophisticated work for premier clients, with access to extensive resources and mentorship. The successful candidate will collaborate with partners and clients across the real estate lifecycle, taking on significant responsibilities from the outset.

Duties

  • Represent lenders, investors, developers, and owners in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.
  • Draft and negotiate various real estate-related contracts, such as loan documents and commercial leases.
  • Coordinate and close real estate transactions, including due diligence and zoning analysis.
  • Advise on construction, development, and joint venture arrangements.
  • Mentor junior associates and oversee work streams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of sophisticated real estate practice experience.
  • Experience in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, tax credit transactions, leasing, and development matters.
  • Prior law firm experience is required.
  • NMTC and HTC experience is required.
  • Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of practice.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant state.
