Job Overview:
A respected and client-focused law firm is seeking a highly motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join its personal injury team in Long Beach, California. This full-time, primarily remote role offers a unique opportunity to develop litigation skills across all phases of a case, from pleadings to trial. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, resourceful, and committed to delivering excellent results for clients while receiving ongoing professional development and mentorship.

Location:

  • Long Beach, California

Duties:

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and oppositions

  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including meet and confer correspondence and motions

  • Represent clients in court hearings and argue motions both remotely and in person

  • Conduct and defend depositions of percipient and expert witnesses

  • Prepare pre-trial documents and assist with trial materials

  • Participate in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings

  • Draft mediation briefs and actively engage in settlement negotiations

  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case progress

  • Supervise and collaborate with litigation assistants and paralegals

  • Participate in regular legal training and development programs

Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury

  • Strong understanding of California civil procedure and court rules

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently

  • Eagerness to grow professionally in a collaborative environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Persistent and resourceful with a proactive approach to litigation

  • Effective communicator with clients and legal team members
