Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join its team in Ogden, UT. This role focuses on Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy matters, offering an opportunity to develop strong legal and client relationship skills. The position is primarily in-office, with potential for limited hybrid flexibility after training. Periodic travel to nearby offices may be required.

Duties

  • Meet with clients to review and sign bankruptcy documents.
  • Manage Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 cases from filing to completion.
  • Draft and file bankruptcy petitions, motions, and other pleadings.
  • Attend hearings and maintain clear client communication throughout the process.
  • Ensure all filings comply with court rules and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain accuracy and efficiency across all cases.
  • Manage assigned caseload independently once trained.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active Utah Bar license (or awaiting admission).
  • 0-3 years of experience preferred; bankruptcy experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong client service and organizational abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a professional and team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD)

Certifications

  • Active Utah Bar license (or awaiting admission)
