Duties:

• Manage cases from initiation to resolution, ensuring all deadlines and responsibilities are met.
• Represent clients in court, including attending hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Prepare for and participate in mediation and settlement discussions.
• Take and defend depositions, including those of parties and experts.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide case updates and strategic advice.
• Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw and stay current on relevant legal developments.
• Work closely with senior attorneys, contributing to case strategy and client development.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation
• Admission to the Bar in Florida.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research and legal writing capabilities.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a collaborative environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Florida Bar membership (required).

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and client management skills.
• Ability to handle complex litigation matters with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in legal research and writing, particularly with Westlaw.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
