Job Title: Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm based in Richardson, TX, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Immigration Attorney to join its legal team. The selected candidate will support and manage complex immigration cases, collaborate with legal support staff, and advocate effectively for clients in various proceedings. This role requires a proactive individual capable of balancing client communication, case preparation, and courtroom responsibilities within a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

  • Prepare, review, and file immigration-related legal documents and court submissions

  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients regarding case status and required documentation

  • Oversee and guide paralegals and support staff on immigration matters

  • Appear in immigration court and represent clients in hearings and related proceedings

  • Ensure timely compliance with legal deadlines and case management procedures

  • Handle tasks and assignments delegated by supervising attorneys or firm leadership

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and legal correspondence

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in immigration law preferred

  • Active license to practice law in Texas or authorized to practice federal immigration law

  • No history of disciplinary action by any legal licensing body

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel

  • Proficient in legal negotiation, advocacy, and argumentation

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas or qualification to practice immigration law in federal jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Competency in managing multiple case files simultaneously

  • Ability to lead legal support staff and coordinate team efforts

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Prior courtroom experience is advantageous
