Job Overview:
A law firm based in Coral Gables, FL, is actively seeking a driven associate attorney with a strong foundation in business and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will be joining a collaborative team of seasoned attorneys and legal professionals, with access to mentorship and courtroom exposure. This role involves legal research, document drafting, client collaboration, and active participation in legal proceedings. The position offers a unique opportunity for attorneys looking to develop strategic litigation skills while contributing to business-focused legal advocacy.

Duties:

• Represent clients in legal disputes and provide strategic recommendations based on case specifics

• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, contracts, briefs, affidavits, and settlement agreements

• Attend court proceedings and evidentiary hearings, and argue dispositive motions

• Manage and organize legal files for team-wide accuracy and accessibility

• Support and collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on case development

• Analyze and resolve complex issues in commercial and business litigation

• Conduct advanced legal research to support litigation strategy

• Participate in both non-jury and jury trials (jury trial experience is a plus)

• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior legal staff and associates

Requirements:

• Membership in good standing with The Florida Bar

• Admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida

• Demonstrated courtroom and motion practice experience

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities

• Capable of working collaboratively in a team-focused legal environment

• Proficient in managing multiple cases with a detail-oriented approach

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Florida Bar license is required

• Admission to the Southern District of Florida federal court

Skills:
