Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years' experience in employment litigation and a comprehensive understanding of federal and California employment laws. This role offers the opportunity to work on class action, PAGA, and single-plaintiff matters.

Duties

  • Handle employment litigation cases, including class action and PAGA matters.
  • Advise clients on federal and California employment laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with a team to develop comprehensive legal strategies.
  • Represent clients in court and during negotiations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years' experience in employment litigation.
  • Experience with class action and PAGA preferred.
  • Membership or pending membership with the California State Bar.
  • Background in large defense firms or smaller firms handling sophisticated employment matters.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership with the California State Bar.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of federal and California employment laws.
  • Excellent litigation and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
