A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join its Newport News, VA office. Duties

  • Appear in court for motions, hearings, and trials throughout Hampton Roads.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and draft pleadings, memoranda, and contracts.
  • Conduct client consultations and assess the viability of new matters.
  • Handle real estate settlements and transactional closings.
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to provide exceptional client service.
  • Manage case files and maintain clear, organized documentation.

Requirements

  • Active Virginia Bar License or pending bar results.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Professional, motivated, and client-focused demeanor.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and meet deadlines.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Virginia Bar License or third-year practice certificate.
