Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation attorney with 4-10 years of experience to join their team in Cape Coral, FL. The successful candidate will manage an active caseload and contribute to the firm's litigation practice. A book of business is not required but will be considered.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Represent clients in depositions, mediation, arbitration, hearings, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Advise clients on legal matters and provide guidance on potential outcomes.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals on case strategy.
• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact cases.

Requirements

• Admission to the FL Bar.
• At least 4 years as a licensed attorney.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Command of civil procedures and rules of court.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
