A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic legal team in Los Angeles, California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on various litigation matters, gain substantial responsibility in handling cases, and develop lasting professional relationships with clients.

Duties:

  • Conduct all phases of litigation, including fact investigation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, trial, settlement negotiations, and post-trial activities.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage the filing and service of pleadings in compliance with court requirements.
  • Prepare witnesses for depositions and court testimony.
  • Collaborate with experts, manage discovery processes, and conduct legal research.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners.
  • Organize and manage multiple cases, ensuring deadlines and priorities are addressed effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 to 6 years of litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research, analysis, oral advocacy, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with all aspects of discovery, including document review and production.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school with excellent academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing.

Skills:

  • Exceptional research and analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and preparing for depositions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
