Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Lawyer in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate is an Illinois-licensed attorney with over two years of experience in personal injury law, looking to work remotely. Duties

  • Oversee personal injury case files from start to finish.
  • Modify, review, and draft legal documents including demand letters and pleadings.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Delegate tasks and manage a team of legal professionals.
  • Represent clients at mediations, trials, and hearings.
  • Assess potential claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients.
  • Maintain and update case files in the management system.

Requirements

  • Illinois licensed lawyer with 2+ years of personal injury experience.
  • Experience in court appearances and arguing motions.
  • Proficiency in taking and defending depositions.
  • Experience in mediations and settlement conferences.
  • Strong drafting, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Trial experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Skills

  • Excellent legal drafting and research abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and delegate tasks effectively.
