Associate Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an associate litigation attorney in Rockville, MD, to manage insurance defense matters from evaluation through judgment or appeal. Duties

• Oversee cases from inception to resolution, including appellate work.

• Draft pleadings, legal memoranda, opinion letters, and correspondence.

• Conduct discovery, depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals.

• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to develop a case strategy.

• Negotiate settlements and prepare agreement terms.

Requirements

• Admission to the Maryland bar; DC bar admission or eligibility preferred.

• Minimum of two years’ litigation experience or judicial clerkship.

• Demonstrated legal research and writing proficiency.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
