Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment and Labor Attorney with two to four years of experience to join their Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will possess a broad understanding of employment law and demonstrate sophistication in handling various legal matters.

Duties

  • Develop cases and conduct legal research and writing.
  • Manage all aspects of discovery and conduct witness interviews or investigations.
  • Draft briefs and other legal documents.
  • Advise clients on employment policies and practices.
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Negotiate and draft employment and separation agreements.
  • Mentor and train junior associates.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of experience in employment law.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Exceptional communication and legal writing skills.
  • High level of motivation and initiative.
  • Current admittance to the California bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to the California State Bar.

Skills

  • Strong employment counseling skills.
  • Experience in case development and legal research.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and briefs.
