Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid to senior-level employment litigation associate for its New York City office. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in employment litigation, focusing on management-side representation. This role involves working with private sector employers in various legal settings, including state and federal courts, arbitrations, and administrative agencies.

Duties

  • Conduct fact investigations and lead discovery efforts.
  • Handle substantial ESI productions in high-stakes cases.
  • Prepare witnesses and parties for depositions and conduct depositions.
  • Draft, oppose, and argue dispositive and discovery-related motions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to case strategy and collaborate on litigation decisions.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in employment litigation.
  • Admission to practice in New York state and federal courts.
  • Admission to practice in New Jersey and/or Connecticut is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in New York.

Skills

  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a client-first mindset.
