Personal Injury Attorney (Pre-Suit Plaintiff)

A law firm in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney (Pre-Suit Plaintiff) to manage a diverse caseload of personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to understand their injuries, negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel, and represent clients effectively in pre-suit stages. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and the ability to work with medical and other experts. Bilingual (Spanish) skills are required.

Duties:

• Work closely with clients to understand the extent of their injuries and the impact on their lives.
• Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases.
• Draft demand packages, negotiate and settle cases, and represent clients in pre-suit negotiations.
• Network with doctors and other medical professionals to gather information and expert opinions.
• Conduct legal research and write legal documents, including demand letters and settlement agreements.
• Assist with the preparation of expert reports and depositions.
• Review case files, make recommendations to clients, and participate in statements and EUO’s (Examinations Under Oath).
• Screen prospective new clients and sign up new cases.
• Maintain detailed and organized case files with exceptional attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance companies.

Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in pre-suit personal injury on the plaintiff side.
• Experience drafting demand packages, negotiating settlements, and managing personal injury cases.
• Proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and case management.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work with medical experts and other professionals.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida State Bar and in good standing.
