Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified Associate with a minimum of five years of privacy experience to join their team in San Francisco, CA. The successful candidate will work with leading clients across various industries, addressing complex data privacy and security issues in high-profile compliance and transactional matters.

Duties

• Advise clients on compliance with global privacy laws and regulations.
• Negotiate privacy and security components of commercial services agreements.
• Handle privacy and security aspects of corporate transactions, including M&A deals and IPOs.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Lead initiatives to drive matters forward proactively.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience in privacy law.
• Experience with commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and corporate transactions.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Superior verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Strong aptitude for technology and understanding of online technologies.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• CIPP certification preferred.
