Job Overview
A law firm seeks a motivated Family Law - Litigation Associate with over three years of experience in family law and litigation to join their Atlanta, GA office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for family law, a commitment to excellence, and a desire to grow professionally.

Duties

  • Assist senior attorneys on complex family law matters.
  • Engage in all stages of litigation, including drafting and responding to discovery.
  • Work on complex custody cases and prepare motions and pleadings.
  • Prepare for and attend mediations, court hearings, and trials.
  • Analyze and manage complex financial issues such as income tracing and asset division.
  • Learn the procedural landscape of the Fulton County family law division and metro Atlanta counties.
  • Collaborate within a cohesive team environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of family law and litigation experience.
  • Active Georgia Bar license and good standing as an attorney.
  • Ability to work in the Atlanta office five days a week.
  • Reside within a commutable distance to the Atlanta office; relocation candidates welcome.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage courtroom appearances, conduct discovery, and engage with clients.
  • Strong judgment, professionalism, and intellectual curiosity.
  • High attention to detail and strong work ethic.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Georgia Bar license.

Skills

  • Strong legal writing and research abilities.
  • Excellent oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.
  • Strong judgment and professionalism.
