Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a Trusts & Estates Associate to join its Private Clients Group in Bonita Springs, Florida. This partnership-track position is ideal for an attorney with 2 to 7 years of experience in estate planning and trust administration, particularly working with high-net-worth individuals and families. The role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with sophisticated matters while collaborating with a long-tenured and collegial team. Location:

  • Bonita Springs, Florida

Duties:

  • Participate in client meetings and consultations

  • Draft a variety of estate planning documents, including:

    • Wills

    • Revocable and irrevocable trusts

    • Powers of attorney

  • Collaborate with paralegals, fiduciary accountants, and attorneys on probate and trust administration

  • Prepare and/or review:

    • Gift tax returns

    • Estate tax returns

    • Fiduciary income tax returns

  • Conduct legal and tax research

  • Assist clients and attorneys with charitable planning strategies

Requirements:

  • 2 to 7 years of relevant experience in estate planning and trust/estate administration

  • Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families

  • Ability to manage complex client matters with attention to detail

  • Willingness to pursue long-term professional development within the firm

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida Bar (or willingness to become admitted)

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills

  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Proficiency in tax and estate planning concepts
