Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated and dynamic Associate Attorney to join its team in Dallas, TX. This position involves representing plaintiffs in personal injury cases, including complex commercial matters, premises liability, and catastrophic injury cases. Duties

  • Manage a diverse caseload of personal injury cases from initiation to trial.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and develop arguments.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel and insurance companies.
  • Collaborate with legal staff and team members to ensure efficient case progress.
  • Advocate zealously for clients in matters such as refinery explosions, brain injuries, paralysis, burn cases, and severe motorcycle accidents.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in personal injury litigation, either on the plaintiff or defense side.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation abilities and commitment to providing outstanding client service.
  • Willingness to relocate to Houston, Dallas, or San Antonio, Texas, if not already based in the area.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of Texas.

Skills

  • Advanced legal research and writing capabilities.
