Job Overview

A law firm seeks a qualified associate attorney to support its Arizona practice. This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and involves handling a significant volume of cases within the field of creditors' rights. The role requires court appearances and may involve travel around the state for hearing coverage.

Duties

  • Manage a high volume of mortgage foreclosure and collections cases.
  • Resolve issues in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Make court appearances and handle related travel as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Assist in growing the firm's presence as a top-performing firm.

Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the AZ state Bar.
  • Licensed or able to obtain a license in Arizona federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage foreclosure and collections.
  • Familiarity with the New York legal system is preferred.
  • Appellate experience and knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code are preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar License in the state of Arizona (required).
